The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is looking for a contractor to provide cloud-based maintenance and support for its multimodal biometrics information system (MBIS).

According to a request for offers (RFO) released by DPS, the agency requires high system availability, disaster recovery capabilities, enhancement services and a refresh of non-cloud-based system components.

The chosen contractor will provide continuous maintenance and support for DPS’ primary biometric identification services resource in the state, including preventative, remedial and enhancement services.

Additionally, the contractor must maintain synchronization between the primary MBIS and MBIS Disaster Recovery, with a maximum tolerable downtime of two hours.

Any services provided by the contractor must be open solutions to allow for future customization.

More detailed information about RFO No. 405-24R0003101, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The deadline for proposals is 5 p.m. Oct. 18. Daniel Ashby is the point of contact for this RFO.
