Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, one of the state’s largest special districts as well as a revenue generator, has adopted a Tyler Technologies' permitting platform.

According to a company press release, the airport has gone live with the Enterprise Permitting and Licensing (EPL) product, a permitting and planning software, to be used in the Design, Code and Construction Department. The platform is cloud-based and is payment and security compliant. The interface will be used by contractors seeking permits, requesting inspections and paying invoices.

The airport is the second busiest in the world, expecting some 73 billion travelers in 2023. The 27-square-mile special district directly employs 200,000 people, generates $37 billion for the North Texas economy and is larger than Manhattan.

Vendors may find upcoming opportunities on the airport’s website. Vendors must:
  • Register in Bonfire
  • Update or complete a vendor/company profile
  • Follow all bid instructions
  • Complete documents in their entirety
  • Perform in accordance with contract terms

Tyler Technologies is based in Plano.
