The Department of Information Resources (DIR) has awarded Info-Tech Research Group with a contract through its Cooperative Contracts Program to provide customers with IT research and advisory subscription services, expanding the number of such DIR vendors to six.

According to the contract, DIR-CPO-5251, DIR customers are now able to purchase research, advisory and technology services from Info-Tech directly through the agency’s recently updated IT Staff Augmentation Contracts portal.

Info-Tech joins just five other vendors with DIR research contracts: Gartner, The Institute for Applied Network Security, Information Systems Asset Management, IDC Research and Forrester Research.

“At a time when so many cooperative contracts are trying to reduce the number of contracts under management, we are proud to announce the award for technology research and advisory services through the Texas DIR to Info-Tech Research Group Inc.,” Info-Tech Vice President of Global Compliance Melissa Norris told Industry Insider — Texas. “This agreement is available for use by U.S. state and local governments, as well as institutions of higher education.”
