DIR in Need of 3D Printers, Imaging, Other Print Services

The department is requesting managed print services, document imaging, enterprise content management products and hardware for contracting to DIR customers.

The Department of Information Resources (DIR) intends to release a request for offer (RFO) for one or more vendors to provide a wide range of print services including managed printing, copiers, printers, 3D and scanning equipment and related services, document imaging, enterprise content management (ECM) products and software and services.

According to the pre-solicitation notice, managed print services may include but are not limited to maintenance, support services, implementation and project management, asset tracking, installation, technical support, training and more.

Contracted hardware, i.e., copiers, printers and scanners, include:
  • Rental, lease, purchase and fleet
  • Portable and stationary
  • Non-multifunctional (single function) and multifunctional (multiple functions)
  • Network capable and non-network (standalone)

Additionally, the department is requesting 3D printers “capable of processing or making three dimensional solid objects from a digital file achieved using additive processes” for contracting to DIR customers.

Requested document imaging services include document conversion, preservation, preparation, indexing and formatting and more.

Finally, the pre-solicitation notice listed ECM software and services and IT-based document management software and services in the request.
