The Department of Information Resources (DIR) has released a pre-solicitation notice for a Managed Security Services (MSS) request.

In its attempts to modernize, DIR is looking to update its current MSS solution, which assists customers statewide in “security monitoring, device management, incident response, and risk and compliance management,” according to the notice.

The request lists Security Operations Center (SOC) services, security incident response services and “security services to assist customers in assessing, managing, and mitigating security risks while meeting state, federal, or industry regulatory compliance requirements” as services in consideration.

DIR has scheduled a market engagement pre-solicitation conference for 2 p.m. Oct. 10. The publication of an official request for offer (RFO) is expected between October and December, as is an RFO solicitation conference.

Brian Ramirez is the point of contact for this pre-solicitation.
