The Department of Information Resources (DIR) is searching for a multisourcing services integrator (MSI) to provide services for its Shared Technology Services (STS) program.

According to a request for offers (RFO) released by DIR, the chosen vendor will provide STS program integration, IT service management platforms, automation, actionable data, customer experience improvements, modernized enterprise architecture and public cloud optimization.

The STS program allows Texas government organizations to secure managed IT services through the state. The MSI will be responsible for integrating DIR’s main service components: Texas private cloud, mainframe services, technology solution services, print/mail digitization, security operations, data center services, managed security services, Texas digital identity services, Texas.gov services, Texas.gov payment services and public cloud manager services.

The chosen MSI will also assume management of DIR’s existing ServiceNow environment, integrate new services and component providers into the MSI operating model, facilitate DIR’s outreach program and provide STS program strategy management.

The agency previously released a solicitation for a new managed security services provider in January. According to the DIR website, multiple future solicitations for STS providers are in the planning phase, including for digital government services, technology solution services, data center services, geographic information systems and more.

Questions regarding the RFO are due at 2 p.m. Dec. 20. The due date for submissions is 2 p.m. Jan. 17. Darrin Jones is the point of contact for this solicitation.
