According to DIR’s request for offers (RFO), GIS and digital land surveying sales made through the Cooperative Contracts Program generated $28 million last year, a $15 million increase from 2023.
The agency’s request includes emerging technologies related to cloud-based GIS, artificial intelligence, edge computing, machine learning, robotics, augmented/virtual reality and 3D representations, such as digital twins.
DIR is also interested in vendors capable of providing customers with GIS system planning and solution selection assistance.
The requested product and service categories are as follows:
- Reality capture and processing devices
- Visualization/mapping hardware and software
- Data processing, management and analysis software
- Geospatial intelligence and data sets
- Planning, development and deployment services
- Data collection, conversion and integration services
