DIR to Hire Technical Program Manager

The chosen applicant will be a senior-level program management specialist for DIR's Shared Technology Services (STS) Vendor Management Office.

The Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) is hiring a technical program manager for its Shared Technology Services (STS) Vendor Management Office (VMO).

According to the job posting, the program manager will report to the director of STS vendor management, Sally Ward.

Responsibilities listed in the posting include performing senior-level program management specialist work, reviewing service management manual (SMM) technical documents, leading application-related strategy management, providing technical consultation to vendor managers and engineering staff, developing procurement requests and more.

The listing calls for an applicant with a bachelor’s degree with major coursework in computer science, computer engineering, MIS or a related field, with the option to substitute relevant work experience on a year-per-year basis.
