The Department of Information Resources has issued a pre-solicitation notice of its intent to procure multisourcing services integrator (MSI) services for its Shared Technology Services (STS) program.

DIR’s STS program allows Texas government organizations to secure managed IT services through the state, including data center services (DCS), managed security services (MSS), an open data portal (ODP), Texas.gov services and more.

The chosen vendor will provide STS program integration, IT service management platforms, automation, actionable data, customer experience improvements, modernized enterprise architecture and public cloud optimization.

The agency previously released a solicitation for a new MSS provider in January. According to the DIR website, a future solicitation for a digital government services service component provider (SCP) that can transition the current texas.gov solution to a newer model is expected to be released in November.

DIR has tentatively scheduled the publication of an official MSI request for offer in November. Darrin Jones is the point of contact for this pre-solicitation.
