The Electric Reliability Council of Texas Inc. (ERCOT) has issued a request for information (RFI) regarding email and SMS subscription solutions.

According to the RFI, “ERCOT manages 195 distinct email lists with a combined audience of 550K users,” including emergency lists, market participant lists, media contact lists, committee/subcommittee lists, etc.”

The council is requesting an email delivery platform with the ability to create branded messages, deliver messages in multiple languages, send SMS messages, personalize messages, schedule messages for future delivery, optimize email campaigns, integrate with Google Analytics, support multiple email lists with distinct permission and delivery configurations, manage subscriptions and access previously sent messages via browse and search interfaces.

The chosen solution will be one that supports unthrottled delivery for up to 50,000 recipients per message and contains role-based permissions, bounce management, email validation, an administrative dashboard for analytics, authentication and authorization, an application programming interface and a tool for the import and migration of existing users, lists, archives and configurations.

More detailed information about RFI No. 02-24_JT, including all submission requirements and requests, can be found online. The deadline for question submission is Thursday. The deadline for proposals is March 28. Jason Terrell is the point of contact for this RFI.
