Ernie Lampman has taken on a new role as public sector account director at Ivanti, where he supports government customers after previously serving as the company’s senior partner sales director.

Lampman has been with Ivanti for more than four years. Before moving into his current position in January, he was responsible for helping a national partner generate security business across small business, mid-market, enterprise and state, local and education markets.

“I’m excited to join Ivanti’s SLED team at such a critical time,” Lampman told Industry Insider — Texas. “The patch apocalypse is a wildfire. Instead [of] trying to quickly staff larger fire crews, Ivanti is helping customers build the firebreaks, detect the sparks and turn on the sprinklers — automatically.”

Mike Robbins, regional vice president for U.S. SLED, said Lampman’s experience aligns with the needs facing public-sector customers.

“Ernie joins Ivanti with experience helping public-sector organizations solve real technology challenges from reducing the burden on lean IT teams to closing the security gaps that keep agency leaders up at night,” Robbins said. “As state and local government faces an increasingly complex threat landscape and growing pressure to do more with less, his focus is simple: understand what each agency is trying to accomplish and connect them to the Ivanti capabilities that make it possible.”

Lampman’s background includes leadership roles at U.S. Cellular and Spenergy, as well as more than six years at Verizon Wireless managing federal government accounts. His experience spans sales, business development and contract management across the public and private sectors.

Lampman holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from Western Governors University and an Associate of Science in business administration from Schenectady County Community College.
