Texas Department of Agriculture(TDA) CIO Chris Bunton will headline an Industry Insider — Texas member briefing in December. Bunton, who assumed the role in August 2023, has more than 20 years of IT experience in both the private and public sectors. Prior to joining TDA, Bunton was director of infrastructure services and interim chief information security officer for the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
In its Fiscal Year 2026-27 legislative appropriations request (LAR), TDA has requested a $14.4 million budget for information resources.
