Harris County, the third-largest county in the United States with more than 4.7 million residents, has released a request for proposals (RFP) for a multifactor authentication (MFA) solution to be used by Universal Services.

Universal Services provides IT and fleet support across the county government with solutions to optimize business and operating models of supported agencies.

The requested MFA solution must be highly customizable, accommodate 15,000 Harris County IT system users, sustain regulatory requirements, support implementation for users connecting via multiple remote access methods and provide departmental security policy control.

The solution must be capable of supporting unlimited devices and remote access connections per user and per device, including laptops, desktops, mobile data terminals, mobile phones and tablets.
