HHSC Lists Platforms Impacted by the CrowdStrike Outage

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission reported that 11 systems were impacted and that all were restored by Sunday.

Health and Human Services Commission(HHSC) systems were back in service Sunday after the CrowdStrike outage, according to an emailed notice.

Impacted systems included the Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership systems.

HHSC listed the following systems in a Friday outage notification:
  • Electronic Data Interchange
  • TexMedConnect
  • Electronic Visit Verification
  • Long-Term Care Online Portal
  • MCOHub
  • Medicaid Client Portal
  • Online Provider Look-Up
  • Prior authorization on the portal
  • Provider Enrollment and Management System
  • Explanation of Benefits requests
  • Eligibility Verification Portal

News outlets in El Paso, Bexar County and across the state reported additional service interruptions at the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles and the Texas Department of Public Safety.
