The MIS operates on a Microsoft Dynamics platform and includes the myWIC mobile app and web portal. The agency is looking for a contractor that can “provide development, modernization and enhancement activities to support any future initiatives and/or federal directives.”
The latest notice is available on Texas SmartBuy and numbered Pre-HHS0012972; the due date is April 29. The notice is “an aid to vendor planning” and doesn’t guarantee an RFP, according to the website. The office’s SmartBuy member number is 529.
The commission — the largest in the state and potentially the nation — has been undergoing a modernization effort that has included multiple systems and is in the process of an identity and access management modernization, CIO Ricardo Blanco recently told Industry Insider — Texas.
Its strategic planning documents for 2021-25 include an objective to “improve business strategies with optimized technology and a culture of data-driven decision-making.”
The goals for this include:
- Apply advanced data analysis techniques to quickly identify trends and outliers for audits, inspections, investigations and reviews. (September 2023)
