Houston-Galveston Area Council Requests E-Procurement Systems and Services

The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for electronic procurement systems and related products and services.

According to the RFP, the requested e-procurement system “must include comprehensive e-procurement functions including contract management, vendor and supplier management, compliance features, reporting functions, budgeting and procurement integration, enterprise resource planning (ERP) integration, catalog management, requisition and purchase order management, customization features, and functions that could include e-informing, e-tendering, e-auctioning, e-ordering and payment capabilities.”

Responses to the RFP must offer software, equipment or related services to be considered.

Proposed solutions must have the following capabilities: requisition and purchase order management, vendor management, customization, catalog and contract management, reporting and compliance, source/bid management, data analytics and data management.

Compliance with standards and regulations, security features and scalability capabilities are also required. Solutions must be capable of integrating with ERP systems and support both external and internal system interfaces. Ongoing maintenance and support, including software updates, patches and training programs for users, have also been requested.
