The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a labor market information software platform.
H-GAC is a regional organization that provides a space for collaboration and problem solving between local governments. According to the RFP, “the region-wide voluntary association of 133 local governments and local elected officials in the 13-county Gulf Coast planning region of Texas” has a service area of 12,500 square miles and is home to more than 7 million residents.
The council is seeking an annual subscription-based third-party labor market data software as a service (SaaS) to “improve the competitiveness of employers, develop an educated workforce, create more and better jobs and help workers earn higher incomes.”
Minimum requirements for the requested software include 24/7 access to all features via commonly used web browsers, employment/unemployment statistics, demographic data, job posting analytics, educational institutional awards, commuter patterns, training and technical support throughout the life of the subscription and a minimum of four licenses/login credentials/permitted users as part of the subscription.
