Library and Archives Commission Seeks IT Assessment Services

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission requires connectivity assessment services for approximately 100-200 libraries in preparation for an upcoming broadband project.

The Texas State Library and Archives Commission (TSLAC) is seeking a contractor capable of providing connectivity assessment services for an upcoming broadband project.

According to a request for offers (RFO) released by TSLAC on Tuesday, approximately 100-200 libraries are expected to participate in the assessment.

The chosen contractor will take inventory of all technology necessary for internal broadband connections and assess current connectivity levels, network reliability, security and capabilities.

Cost estimates and recommendations for equipment replacements and future-proofing have also been requested.

Respondents must have a minimum of five years of professional experience in assisting with technology and connectivity.
