Lone Star College (LSC) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for an online student appointment scheduling tool.

According to the RFP, LSC is one of the top three largest colleges in the nation, enrolling over 90,000 students each semester with over 6,900 employees.

LSC is requesting a student appointment scheduling tool for its testing centers to better meet demands for testing and tutoring services throughout all campuses and designated centers. Proposed systems should allow students to schedule tutoring and exam appointments offered or administered by LSC’s Testing Services department online.

The tool must include a comprehensive scheduling system that is available to eligible Internet users at all hours, search functionality for campus testing sites, the ability to place requests online pending confirmations, and allowances for multiple administrators to approve tests in their area of campus.

The chosen vendor will be expected to host and maintain the system in an external SOC 2-certified hosting environment. In the event a new solution is chosen, migration of past data will take place.

More detailed information about RFP No. LSC01-0000931, including all minimum requirements and requested services, can be found online. An online pre-proposal conference will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday. The deadline for question submissions is Dec. 15. The due date for proposals is 3 p.m. Jan. 10. Pamela Johnson is the point of contact for this RFP.
