Major City to Upgrade Project Controls and Project Management System

The solution will need to provide fully integrated functionality through all phases of project and portfolio management.

A key Texas city has issued a request for proposals for a project controls and project management software solution, implementation services and maintenance and support to replace existing manual processes.

As per the RFP from the city of Austin, the solution should provide fully integrated functionality through all aspects and phases of project and portfolio management including initiation, budgeting, funding, management, monitoring, control, tracking, reporting, cancellation, consolidation and closeout.

Austin uses multiple standalone applications and tools to manage its capital improvement program. The solution will use SharePoint as the central document repository for document management, and Power BI for business analytics and intelligence. eCAPRIS and Advantage will remain as standalone systems of record.

The contact people are Sai Xoomsai Purcell, (512) 978-1525; and Kate Thepuatrakul, (512) 978-1710.

Electronic offers must be submitted to the city using the solicitation’s eResponse function, available through the city’s online financial system, Austin Finance Online. Vendors must be registered with Austin Finance Online.

Hardcopy offers must be delivered to the city’s Purchasing Office at one of the following addresses, depending on the delivery method: by U.S. mail: City of Austin, Purchasing Office, Response to Solicitation: 5000 PAX3170, P.O.
