North Central Texas COG Seeks Consultant for AI Integration

The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) is seeking an artificial intelligence (AI) consultancy firm to assist in implementing the technology to enhance its operational efficiency.

According to a request for proposals (RFP), the council requires assistance in “defining AI use cases, developing AI frameworks, providing implementation road maps and ensuring that AI solutions are ethical, secure and compliant with public-sector regulations.”

The selected consultant will be responsible for identifying opportunities for AI integration in NCTCOG’s current processes, recommending relevant AI tools for solving specific challenges, developing a five-year AI strategic road map and ensuring all implementations comply with legal standards.

The consultant must also provide training for NCTCOG’s internal teams on AI capabilities, work with stakeholders to evaluate pilot projects and support full-scale implementations.

Interested vendors must be prepared to adhere to NCTCOG’s ethical principles regarding AI, including the provision of an ethical framework detailing their approach to avoiding discrimination, proposing bias mitigation techniques, documenting the decision-making process, defining accountability measures and conducting regular impact assessments.
