The North Central Texas Council of Governments (NCTCOG) has released a request for proposals (RFP) for a predictive crash analysis software solution.
NCTCOG, the metropolitan planning organization for Dallas-Fort Worth, hopes to improve road safety with a solution that can proactively identify intersections and roadway segments with higher risks of vehicle collisions.
The software must be capable of identifying high rates of specific crash types by location, identifying possible improvements to address safety concerns, conducting cost-benefit analysis and comparing conditions before and after countermeasure implementations.
Proposed solutions must incorporate the latest standard in predictive crash methods detailed by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials’ Highway Safety Manual.
More detailed information about this RFP, including all minimum requirements and requested services, can be found online. The due date for responses is 5 p.m. April 11. Inquiries can be sent to NCTCOG via email.
