North Richland Hills Requests IT Efficiency Audit

The city of North Richland Hills is in search of a consultant capable of conducting an operational efficiency audit of its Information Technology Department.

According to a request for proposals (RFP), the IT Department, which consists of 14.5 full-time employees, is responsible for cybersecurity, end-user support, application management, public safety technology, physical security infrastructure, network infrastructure, audiovisual infrastructure and geographic information systems.

The requested audit is intended to review the operational efficiency of the department’s internal processes, identify opportunities for organizational enhancement, evaluate the city’s operational needs, assess the scalability of its IT infrastructure and evaluate services currently being provided to city staff and residents.

The consultant chosen will also be asked to evaluate the IT department’s effectiveness, identify skill gaps and determine areas for improvement in project management capabilities.
