Northside ISD Seeks Improved Health and Wellness Benefit System

The Northside Independent School District (Northside ISD) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from one or more vendors to provide a health and wellness benefit administration technology that enhances the performance of its sponsored benefit plans.

According to the RFP, Northside ISD is the largest public K-12 school system in the Bexar County area and the fourth largest in the state. According to the district’s website, it serves 102,000 students with 14,000 employees on 131 campuses.

The district has requested an online platform that interfaces with its various supplier partners and enhances its current benefits administration services.

The RFP lists the following enhancements as potential areas of improvement:
  • Call center support
  • Video hosting
  • Communications module with targeting capabilities
  • Flex credit administration
  • Mobile technology for enrollment and benefit information

The chosen vendor will be expected to develop and maintain data feeds between the payroll system and vendor, ensure data accuracy, transfer historical data to the new system, design a custom website that provides health- and wellness-related information and more.
