Plano ISD Issues RFP for Child Nutrition Tech Solution

The Plano Independent School District (Plano ISD) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a USDA-approved child nutrition technology solution.

Plano ISD’s Food and Nutritional Services (FANS) requires a solution that includes an online meal payment system, menu planning/nutritional analysis, production, free and reduced online and paper processing, point of services software (POS), an online digital suite, inventory management/ordering and receiving, and a professional standards training tracking module. An optional menu board display is also listed in the RFP.

The chosen vendor will be responsible for the integration, delivery, installation, maintenance, training and support of the requested system.

Plano ISD estimates the annual expenditure for this contract at approximately $205,000. According to the RFP, the contract will run from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025.
