Region 7 Education Service Center Seeks Child Tracking Software

The solution must support approximately 2,255 student accounts and 128 administrative users, with the option to purchase additional licenses for both.

The Region 7 Education Service Center (Region 7 ESC) is seeking vendors who can offer and host comprehensive child tracking software for its Head Start division, with an estimate value of $500,000.

Based in Kilgore, Region 7 ESC serves 95 school districts and seven charter schools across 17 counties.

According to a request for proposals (RFP), the service center requires a solution that allows Head Start admins to monitor student accounts, tracks attendance, supports two-way communication with parents in their preferred language, provides support for federal reviews and more.

Security requirements for the software include firewalls, multifactor authentication and compliance with both the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).

The chosen vendor will be responsible for system support and data migration from Region 7 ESC’s current system.
