San Antonio Housing Authority Seeks Rent Reasonableness Software

Opportunity Home San Antonio (Opportunity Home) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a rent reasonableness software solution.

According to the RFP, Opportunity Home, also known as the Housing Authority of the city of San Antonio, is a public housing agency that owns and manages more than 6,300 public housing units and “administers rental assistance for almost 12,000 privately owned rental units through the Section 8 program.”

Opportunity Home is seeking a web-based rent reasonableness subscription service to ensure compliance with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Rent Reasonableness regulations.

The requested software must allow Opportunity Home to draw comparability data for specific addresses and unit sizes, be cloud-based and use current local market comparable rental rates specific to San Antonio.

The chosen vendor will also be expected to provide training, online technical support and documentation with best practices for the protection of all user authentication data and passwords.
