VIA Metropolitan Transit has requested an automated paratransit scheduling and dispatching system with an interactive app for dispatch and operators.

The San Antonio mass transit agency requires a contractor that can provide and implement the software. The contractor will be expected to maintain the solution for the contract’s term and ensure it is available at all times.

The requested software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution must be compatible with most mainstream web browsers, accessible via app on both Android and iOS devices, cloud-based, compliant with the latest Americans with Disabilities Act requirements and include an interface to the Genfare payment platform.

VIA’s ideal solution will schedule paratransit trips, generate manifests, maintain incident reports, log historic data, send and receive text messages, interface with online trip booking, provide optimized directions considering traffic information and provide real-time communication between dispatch and operators.
