Sandy Russell has joined NTT DATA North America as senior account executive for state, local and education (SLED) business in Texas, where she will support public sector and higher education customers across the state.

Russell brings extensive experience in the SLED, higher education and health-care spaces, with a background spanning infrastructure, cybersecurity and data management.

In an interview with Industry Insider — Texas, she said the opportunity to expand that work at NTT DATA is what drew her to the role.

“We have an opportunity to make a really positive impact on Texas and delivering some world-class enterprise solutions at NTT DATA,” said Russell. “We’re on this incredible journey. It’s really energizing to be a part of a company where employees play a part in shaping the future.”

Prior to joining NTT DATA, Russell served as senior account manager at Precisely and held roles at Oracle, Cintra Software and Services, and Intel Security. Her career has centered on helping government customers modernize technology environments while navigating evolving digital demands.

She also highlighted a major upcoming initiative for the company in Texas. Beginning June 1, NTT DATA will deliver what she described as a “frictionless cloud experience” as the Public Cloud Manager for Texas Department of Information Resources’ Shared Technology Services program.

“In this role, we’ll support all of the Texas agencies with a secure, modern and easy-to-use cloud service and help improve the operations and ultimately enable better services for citizens across the state,” Russell said.

Outside of work, Russell said she enjoys cooking, running and coaching marathon runners, as well as cycling, hiking and spending time with her family.
