Stoner Promoted to Area Vice President of Cloud Sales at Splunk

This move is the latest in a series of higher-profile roles in his seven years with the company.

Tom Stoner has been promoted to area vice president of cloud sales at Splunk.

According to his LinkedIn profile, Stoner is a “results driven, enterprising sales person who has a history of top performance, driving revenue from new and existing customers.”

He cites: “Experience calling on Fortune 1,000 senior business and IT executives. Excellent interpersonal skills and a focus on bringing exceptional business value to my customers.”

Stoner has held several positions in his seven years at Splunk, including senior director of cloud sales; cloud sales director; and regional sales manager for major accounts.

Before moving to Splunk, Stoner worked for Moovweb, Antenna Software/Pega, Jive Software, Hewlett-Packard, Evolve/Primavera Systems, Vantive/PeopleSoft and Texas Instruments/Accenture.

He attained an MBA from the University of Dallas and a BS in industrial engineering from Penn State University.
