Tarleton State University has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the procurement of a point-of-sale (POS) solution and a physical card access system in two phases.
The university currently uses CBORD and CSGOLD with the Oracle Point of Sale Solution.
According to the RFP, “Tarleton is interested in an integrated solution that would support physical cards, mobile credential access, point of sale and card processing.”
Phase I of the RFP entails the subscription and implementation of a POS solution, including all hardware and software components and any necessary storage and data integration for a full turnkey solution capable of mobile device purchasing. The requested POS solution must support over 100 POS readers responsible for processing the sales for 16,000 students and 2,000 faculty and staff.
Phase II entails the subscription and implementation of a card access system, including all hardware and software components and any necessary storage and data integration for a full turnkey solution capable of mobile device purchasing and card access.
The requested card access system must support 60 buildings, 12 residence halls, 1,106 residence hall rooms, four campus locations and future construction projects adding 500-plus readers.
