Teacher Retirement System Requesting Total Trust Risk Platform

The TRS is a public pension fund that provides retirement and health-care programs for public education employees, retirees and their beneficiaries.

The Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) for a total trust risk platform and managed services solution for its Investment Management Division.

According to the RFP, the chosen contractor will be expected to “provide daily risk loading, processing and simulation on the entire TRS portfolio based on daily feeds from custodian bank in order to estimate value-at-risk and other risk measures.”

The contractor will also be required to provide access to the application/managed services solution for “access reports on simulations and risk metrics, managed services to support daily processing and client queries and associated market data needed for simulation.”

Deliverables the chosen contractor are expected to provide include necessary applications and associated software, risk reports, service analysis and reconciliations.

The successful proposer will be expected to provide 24/7 support and training as needed for any associated software.

The TRS will hold its first pre-proposal conference virtually on Oct. 4 at 1:30 p.m. The deadline for question submissions is Oct. 9 at 3 p.m.
