The National Association of State Chief Information Officers has announced the executive leadership lineup for the new program year.

Texas Department of Information Resources Executive Director and CIO Amanda Crawford will serve as NASCIO’s vice president alongside the incoming president, North Carolina CIO and Secretary of Technology James Weaver, as well as Secretary and Treasurer J.R. Sloan, Arizona’s CIO.

Those selected for the new program year’s executive leadership roles bring extensive IT experience.

Crawford was promoted to executive director of DIR in February 2019. She has worked in the Texas Attorney General’s Office as an attorney, deputy division chief and division chief in the Open Records Division, general counsel, associate deputy attorney general for legal counsel and general counsel and as deputy attorney general for administrative and general counsel. This NASCIO announcement closely follows the association’s annual conference last week in Minneapolis. At the event, CIOs explored the future of IT, current trends and financial models.
