Texas Department to Build New $55.3 Million Project

New headquarters complex will consist of 12 buildings.

A state department has issued a request for proposals for a building complex in Paris worth an estimated $55.3 million.

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is building a new headquarters complex of 12 buildings consisting of:
  • Headquarters.
  • District lab.
  • District warehouse, foreign object debris preventive maintenance shop and warehouse.
  • District special crews and facilities.
  • District traffic signal and sign shop.
  • Foreign object debris preventive vehicle storage facility.
  • District fueling.
  • District vehicle, equipment wash and recycle.
  • District covered pavilion and staging facility.
  • District dry storage.
  • District maintenance, vehicle and equipment storage.
  • District electrical building.

Grounding and bonding for communications systems includes:
  • Pathways for communications systems.
  • Hangers and supports for communications systems.
  • Cable trays for communications systems.
  • Underground pathways and structures for communications systems.
  • Identification for communications systems.
  • Communications equipment room fittings.
  • Communications racks, frames and enclosures.
  • Communications optical fiber backbone cabling.
  • Communications copper horizontal cabling.

Access control software and database management will include:
  • Security access central control station.
  • One or more security access networked workstations.
  • Security access operating system and application software.
  • Security access controllers connected to high-speed electronic data transmission network.
