Texas Education Agency Recruiting for Power Platform Manager

The chosen candidate would report to the manager of technology operations within the agency’s IT department.

The Texas Education Agency, which oversees primary and secondary public education within the state, is recruiting a Power Platform manager to supervise a team of administrators to drive innovation and improve how the platform is used.

For context, the agency’s Microsoft Power Platform includes a line of business intelligence, app development and app connectivity software applications.

As a Power Platform manager, the chosen candidate will “play a key role in the administration, adoption, guidance and governance of the agency’s Power Platform environment” and “serve as a trusted advisor to Power Platform users to help nurture their adoption of its components while keeping the organization’s data secure.”

Specific job responsibilities for the role include:
  • Developing, implementing and monitoring guidelines, policies and procedures as they relate to the agency’s use of the Microsoft Power Platform and other applications and services within the IT department 
  • Managing and communicating with staff to complete technical projects and tasks  
  • Establishing target dates and priorities for each project and accurately tracking all tasks to ensure adequate progress and timely completion 
  • Setting goals and objectives, developing and approving schedules, priorities and standards for achieving goals, and managing evaluation activities 
  • Providing oversight, guidance, technical assistance and resolution of issues within the Microsoft Power Platform environment  
  • Working with customers to identify, research and recommend solutions to their needs 
  • Monitoring the Microsoft Power Platform environment to ensure data confidentiality and integrity, high availability and overall customer satisfaction 
The position has a monthly salary range of $6,681 to $10,145, and the application deadline is ongoing.
