Texas Facilities Commission Seeks Web Auction Services

The Texas Facilities Commission (TFC) is requesting online auction services on an as-needed basis for its state surplus property program.

According to TFC’s request for proposals (RFP), the commission’s Internet auction sales in 2023 and 2024 were $7.3 million and $8.2 million respectively.

The requested web solution must maintain 98 percent uptime and be optimized for desktop and mobile devices.

The chosen contractor will create and edit auction item postings using photos and descriptions provided by TFC. The contractor is also expected to verify bidders and restrict bidding for gambling equipment.

Prospective contractors must be authorized to sell, store, appraise and transfer firearms in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
