Texas Industry Forum to Spotlight State IT Priorities

Texas government technology leaders will gather Sept. 1 in Austin for the State of Technology — Texas Industry Forum 2026, a half-day event examining state IT priorities, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and opportunities for industry collaboration.

The program will feature technology executives from state agencies and the city of Austin, including Tony Sauerhoff, executive director, state chief information officer and chief artificial intelligence and innovation officer for the Texas Department of Information Resources.

Sessions will cover Texas’ cybersecurity environment, government uses of artificial intelligence, what public-sector IT leaders expect from industry partners and priorities facing state agency CIOs.

The event runs from 12:30 to 5:15 p.m. at the Renaissance Austin Hotel and concludes with a networking reception.

Registration is $150 for Industry Insider — Texas members and $250 for nonmembers.
