The second-largest spend was on IT services at $25.44 million. Coming in at No. 3 was intangible property — computer software — expensed at $11.03 million.
Those top three categories accounted for about 84 percent of the department’s 2021 expenditures.
By comparison, the department spent $237.78 million in calendar year 2020. The largest spend during that time went to purchased contracted services at $196.46 million. The second-largest spend was on IT services, at $12.41 million. Coming in at No. 3 was intangible property — computer software — expensed at $8.08 million.
Those top three categories accounted for about 91 percent of the department’s 2020 expenditures.
