The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) spent $70 million on its five largest IT-related purchases during the third quarter of 2023.

The agency is responsible for providing workforce development services to the state’s job seekers and employers. According to the TWC website, the agency “strengthens the Texas economy by providing the workforce development component of the governor's economic development strategy.”

Here, rounded up, are the agency’s five largest purchases during Q3, according to the comptroller’s “Payments to Payee” visualization:

Regarding specific purchases, TWC spent about $45 million on contracted services, $7.1 million on computer services, $7 million on IT services, $6 million on software and $5 million on computer equipment.
