Tracking the Spend: TxDOT Spent $60M on IT Services in Q4

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) spent $60 million in IT services in the fourth quarter of last year, $29 million of which went to five vendors.

TxDOT is responsible for developing and operating the state’s integrated transportation system and facilitating the movement of freight and international trade.

Here, rounded up, are the agency’s five largest IT services expenses during Q4, according to the comptroller’s “Payments to Payee” visualization:

• $8.5 million to AT&T, which provides telecommunications, media and technology services
• $7.2 million to Accenture LLPAccenture LLP, which provides management consulting and professional services
• $4.6 million to AllTerra Central Inc., which provides surveying and mapping solutions
• $4.5 million to Sap National Security Services Inc., which provides secure adoption of SAP services, allowing customers to be in regulatory compliance
• $4.1 million to Luna Data Solutions Inc., which provides IT recruiting and consulting services
