The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is soliciting offers from vendors to provide traffic management software under a new statewide contract.

The agency’s request for offers (RFO) outlines TxDOT’s intent to secure a traffic management software solution designed to improve roadway monitoring, data analysis and operational decision-making.

The software will need to integrate with TxDOT’s existing technology environment, offer compatibility for data exchange and provide capacity for future expansion.

Evaluation criteria include installation and life cycle costs, product quality and reliability, delivery terms and the vendor’s demonstrated ability to provide ongoing maintenance and support.

Additional considerations for IT purchases include reliability factors, end-user training requirements and technical support for network hardware and software management.
