The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) has launched an updated texasinternnetwork.com, a statewide internship platform built to connect Texas employers with students seeking paid and for-credit opportunities.

The agency announced April 6 that the redesigned site includes a faster registration process and improved search features as employers prepare for the summer internship season. On its homepage, the site invites users to “explore opportunities and apply for internships” and allows searches by keywords, employers, occupations, industries and area.

The website also adds AI-supported career preparation tools for students. The homepage directs users to Big Interview and says the service offers a realistic interview simulator, instant AI feedback and expert-led video lessons. TWC said in its announcement that the site also provides resume and cover letter assistance and interview coaching.

For employers, the site says the Texas Intern Network encourages businesses to offer paid or for-credit applied learning opportunities and provides a direct link to post internships. TWC’s Texas Intern Network initiative page says employers can post opportunities at no cost while students can search and apply for positions across the state.

The broader initiative extends beyond the website. TWC says the Texas Intern Network connects students and employers through virtual and in-person events as well as a LinkedIn networking platform, and the agency’s initiative page lists an April 23 event at Austin Community College’s Highland Campus.

The updated portal runs on Geographic Solutions Inc.’s Virtual OneStop platform, according to the website footer.
