The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is researching industry standards for bridge inventory system solutions.

According to the agency’s request for information (RFI), TxDOT is surveying vendors on best practices, cost measures, performance measures and any other information applicable to modern statewide bridge and tunnel inventory systems.

Interested vendors must address the following functions:
  • Inspection management
  • Mobile/offline capabilities
  • Customizable reporting
  • Customizable dashboards
  • GIS integration
  • Interoperability
The intended system must be compliant with both SNBI (Specifications for the National Bridge Inventory) and SNTI (Specifications for the National Tunnel Inventory) requirements.
