TxDOT Seeks Drone Fleet Management Solution

The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has released a request for offers (RFO) for a drone fleet management solution.

The requested software-as-a-service solution must be capable of mission planning, pilot tracking, maintenance tracking, program management and data livestreaming.

The solution must also be compatible with National Defense Authorization Act-compliant drones and capable of tracking and reporting data points, inviting external users to the system and ingesting third-party flight tracker data.

The chosen vendor will be expected to provide technical support, including software upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, help desk support and incident management. The vendor must also meet Federal Aviation Administration requirements.

A non-mandatory pre-response conference is scheduled for 3 p.m. March 11. Questions regarding this RFO are due at 5 p.m. March 14. The due date for submissions is 3 p.m. March 28.
