University of Texas Cancer Center Seeks New Data System

MD Anderson Cancer Center has requested information regarding credentialing and medical staff functions technology solutions.

The University of Texas' MD Anderson Cancer Center has issued a request for information (RFI) regarding support and solutions for credential and medical staff functions.

According to the RFI, the center is looking to “build a multidimensional biological data system that incorporates multiple types of data.” Types of data listed in the RFI include but are not limited to:
  • Structured clinical data
  • Unstructured clinical data
  • Derived data

Respondents are instructed to describe their experience and program capabilities in managing care credentialing and hospital medical staff credentialing, their company’s competencies in the health-care distribution marketplace and functions or services provided to similar clients.

The RFI requires submissions provide solutions for maintaining a clean data set including but not limited to:
  • Data diagnostic
  • Data cleansing
  • Data maintenance
  • Performance dashboards and metrics
