UT Austin's Business School to Hire Director of Applications and Data

Applicants must have experience architecting business applications, leading a team and implementing data-centric solutions.

The University of Texas at Austin (UT Austin) is hiring a director of applications and data for the McCombs School of Business.

According to the posting, the director will report to the school’s chief information officer (CIO) and “direct, coordinate, and oversee application development and data analysis and reporting activities in the organization.”

Responsibilities listed in the posting include directing software application development activities, analyzing and implementing technology strategies, developing the IT budget, representing McCombs in all communications, data analysis and managing staff.

The listing calls for an applicant with a bachelor’s degree, five years of experience as an application developer, three years of experience architecting business applications and two years in a team leadership role. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or a related field are preferred.

The posting is open to external applicants, is eligible for hybrid work and has an annual salary range of $100,000 to $145,000 depending on qualifications.
