The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSA) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) from vendors capable of designing and hosting a website for the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (SABCS).

According to the RFP, SABCS “is an annual conference designed to provide state-of-the-art information on the experimental biology, etiology, prevention, diagnosis, and therapy of breast cancer and premalignant breast disease to an international audience of academic and private physicians and researchers,” the largest symposium focused on breast cancer research in the world.

The requested website must maintain year-round audience engagement, allow for administrative control over all page configurations and support the posting of multiple meetings simultaneously.

Support for the posting of podcasts, blog posts and news items; a project management tool; desktop and mobile support; a custom-designed home page; and security and maintenance provided by the contractor have also been requested.

At a minimum, proposers must have five years of experience in website design, development, hosting and maintenance, be compliant with the General Data Protection Regulation checklist, provide documentation that indicates the proposed products are accessible for use by persons with disabilities and have a TX-RAMP Level 2 certification from the Department of Information Resources.
