A Texas water district is seeking requests for proposals (RFPs) to obtain software as a service for a content management system (CMS) to consolidate the district’s three websites into one.

The North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) wants to develop one website, with subdomains for Water4Otter and Bois d’Arc Lake.

The main and subdomains will each have a distinct design. The vendor will develop a website presence that maintains consistency and continuity in NTMWD messaging and creative assets that supports its public communications to:
  • Increase the understanding of NTMWD services and operations, including water, wastewater and solid waste.
  • Promote water conservation, water reuse and other environmental stewardship-related issues.
  • Improve the awareness of the “value of water” in terms of wholesale rates and the costs of infrastructure, operations, treatment, delivery and capital improvement programs that contribute to those rates.
  • Promote NTMWD employee culture to potential applicants and to highlight that culture to existing staff.
  • Develop multilanguage resources that can be shared with NTMWD cities and customers.

NTMWD serves more than 2 million. Member cities are Farmersville, Forney, Garland, McKinney, Mesquite, Princeton, Plano, Rockwall, Royse City, and Wylie. Richardson joined in 1973, Allen in 1998, and Frisco in 2001.

Submittals are due by 2 p.m. Aug. 9 and may be submitted electronically to Bonfire. Documents may also be delivered to North Texas Municipal Water District Purchasing Department, 501 E. Brown St., Wylie, Texas, 75098. The NTMWD contact is Dave Leong, CPPB.
