Williamson County in Research Phase for New ERP System

The county is holding multiple online informational sessions for software providers from Nov. 12-15 as part of a request for information. Sessions are to be scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Williamson County is surveying enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform vendors on system capabilities that have proven beneficial to public-sector organizations in preparation for a future procurement request.

The county’s request for information (RFI) lists the current ERP system as Oracle E-Business Suite, of which the county uses the finance, budget, AR, AP, purchasing, fixed assets and inventory, HR and personnel management functions.

Additional applications in use alongside Oracle handle benefits administration, electronic procurement, document management, digital workflow, applicant tracking, IT helpdesk, scheduling, budgeting and timekeeping.
