The San Francisco government intends to create a pre-qualified list of firms from which city departments may select on an as-needed basis for custom Drupal development services.
For the next five years, the city says it will negotiate the scope of services, budget, deliverables and timeline for each project it decides to pursue.
"These services will be used to assist City departments and agencies enhance their online presence," San Francisco explained.
In an RFQ issued on April 13, San Francisco invites responses from firms with experience providing custom Drupal development services. Responses are due May 25, and the pre-qualified list will be established in June.
In recent years the city and county of San Francisco has made a big push into Drupal, a free, open-source Web content management platform. In 2015 the city issued an RFP seeking a firm to help set up and support an enterprisewide, cloud-based Web content management system built in Drupal. The city selected San Francisco-based firm Chapter Three, according to city records.
